Tom SQNC, head honcho of Sequence Recordings & Sequence Digital has been building Sequence Recordings for the past 2 years, with previous releases from 16bit, Fused FOrces, Stenchman, Vista and Goojah.

With Sequence004 just about to be released featuring Stenchman, Suspect & Switchdubs. I decided to put together a mix that showcases previous and forthcoming releases on Sequence, aswell as a few dubs, forthcommings and some recent musical ventures with Vital Elements.

I tried to keep the mix as varied as possible and cover different styles of Dubstep while keeping movement in the mix and as much sub-bass as possible.

As one of the early Midwest producers/djs of ragga and jungle, Ragga Scum has topped cities all around North America, following suit behind ground breakers such as RCola and Twinhooker. Some of his recent production, including ‘Another Champion’ (Hum Fi Drum 006), has become staples to world ranking dj’s around the globe. With label support from Warlord, Congo Natty, JungleX, BadDog Jungle, Clashplate, Mos-Hi, and Hum Fi Drum, the Kansas City phenomenon is only bound to spread. Further support is provided by the Konkrete Jungle Fam worldwide, Knowledge Mag, Methods NYC, and the bad boys of M.I.A. (Murda in America).

With over 20 years of musical experience, Ragga Scum has gone from band outcast to one of the top stateside artists in ragga jungle. Growing up on Long Island, NY has paved the way for his musical tastes to mature on locals such as Biz Markie, Wu-Tang, Biohazard, and Africa Bambaataa. The 31 year old owner of Warlord Dubplate has been conquering cities all over, headlining alongside artists such as Calyx, Gremlinz, Starscream (Spilknot), Evol Intent, Annalyze (Lady Sovereign), Danny the Wildchild, Swamp (Beck), Spor, Murderbot, 0=0, Evol Intent, and Jae Kennedy.

Ragga Scum is currently working on new tracks with Twinhooker, Direct Feed, DMD, and a few others. His latest tune “Dem Ting Fi Dem” is set to release on Clashplate Sound 003 this spring along with a new JungleX EP. Cyntax Error Records unveil their secret weapon......THE REAPERZ

Cyntax Error Records have kept the Reaperz behind a locked studio door for some time now, plans to unveil them earlier were delayed by the mortal enemy of all producers “THE PHANTOM HARD DRIVE CRASH”, this meant that Cyntax Error CEO’s Rekless & Dazzler had to barricade the reaperz in the studio only cracking open the door to throw them a new hard drive then quickly shutting it. Faced with dehydration, starvation and sensory deprivation the reaperz (Dj Taz, Ricachet & N20) set to work on an escape plan “there’s only one way out of here” they thought .....”we gotta make some kinda sick bass driven music so Rekless & dazzler will let us out”.

They set to work on their debut download only release Total Recall / Captain Kirk, Rekless & Dazzler would occasionally drop by the studio just to make sure the trio from the isle of Wight were still alive and more importantly making beats, much to their satisfaction the reaperz were eager to get out of their dnb incarceration and offered not only their debut download only release which is out from all good drum and bass outlets on 11.01.2010, but they also had made future releases which fans of the label can expect to see in the coming months, one track in particular that stands out, and was designed to make Rekless & Dazzler leave the key to the studio so the reaperz can come and go as they please is a remix of a previously unreleased track from Cyntax Error’s Sounds Destructive who released the 1st track ever released on the label ‘The Lawnmower Tune’ with ‘Vitamin Funk’ on the flip.

The track is entitled Time of life and the reaperz have gone beyond all expectations with this remix dnb heads can expect a release date in late spring. And just to make sure that the Cyntax Error head honchos never lock them in the studio again The Reaperz have also offered another massive track called ‘High Grade’ which has been penned in to coincide with their Time of life Remix. The Reaperz have also done an exclusive mix of all of their tracks that will be available for download at the same time as their debut release Total Recall / Captain Kirk on 11.01.2010 (Have I mentioned that already, lol)

So plenty to come from The Reaperz even if it’s just so they can spend some time out of the studio.

THE BRUMMIES ARE COMMING, THE BRUMMIES ARE COMMING!!!!

Birmingham based duo Raw Theory, aka Dj's Laze and Dash, have been plotting to invade the world of dnb for quite some time. The pair first crossed paths in 2003 when, not knowing each other, they enrolled on a music technology course at a local college and being like minded they got on easily.

Fast forward three years when myspace came on the scene, the lads got in touch with one another, found they had both been busy producing tracks as well as djing in their spare time and really liked what each other were doing. Immediately the lads started to bond and this was the beginnings of what was to become Raw Theory.

Dash had started running his own event, High Voltage, which was starting to become really well known on the scene, whilst Laze had already come to the attention of Cyntax Error Records working with another camp. Things didn't quite pan out in that instance but shortly after that Dash invited Laze to play a set at High Voltage. It was at this time they realised they had similar goals and aspirations when it came to playing and producing DnB, Dash asked Laze to come onboard with High Voltage to help to run the event, and the lads started playing back to back under the alias Raw Theory.

Their tracks got instant recognition and interest from a number of labels on the scene, but it was Cyntax Error Records that the lads were drawn towards, after label C.E.O's Rekless and Dazzler (of the infamous New Breed Crew) got in contact with them offering a deal, and it was only a matter of days before Raw Theory signed a two-year recording contract with the label and officially become part of The Error Squad. Since signing the deal raw theory’s workload has increased tenfold not only is their public profile and fanbase increasing daily but bookings have the duo travelling up & down the country satisfying bass heads with their unique slant on drum and bass, they also keep it real and represent their beloved brummie land by holding down a residency at one of birmingham’s most well known bass events DISK – CONNECTED as well as running their own event HIGH VOLTAGE to this day. This has left little time in their schedule for the beloved hugely popular Thursday night slot on DreamUK 99.2fm a very highly respected pirate radio station which enjoys audiences throughout the midlands, the boys have sadly had to give in to their busy schedule and sacrifice their show for more time in the studio, although they plan to make a return to the station as soon as there is a window in their diary.

Things are getting hectic for these ideally suited producers with their highly anticipated debut release "British Steel"/"Desert Strike" imminent on Cyntax Error Records and the bookings coming in regularly, things really are looking promising for this talented young duo from the West Midlands.
